Philosophy
Rosewood Academy is dedicated to be your child's home away from home with a tremendous amount of love and a positive learning environment. Our center is a community of many people creating a rich, nurturing environment for the children. We provide a loving staff (which possesses the best-qualified skills) and a warm, supportive, stimulating environment. In treating your child like an individual, with their own set of needs, the children will mature more secure with themselves. A quality program that can feel like home takes expertise in the early childhood environment. Our active curriculum and family involvement promote healthy, happy kids at home andin the classroom. Rosewood Academy provides what the working parent desires, but is unable to give their child at home because of their need/desire to work. Self-help skills are encouraged as the children participate in their school environment. We believe in positive reinforcement and redirection. Our staff practices non-violent resolution with each child. Our center strives to be a nurturing community. We feel the need to build on this sense of community through communication amongst the staff and families. Rosewood knows that each family is special and what your family does/knows/feels is important to each of us. Our teachers strive to develop a partnership with our families to prove this importance. The staff at Rosewood Academy aims to build each child's self-image, and make sure they feel loved while they learn and prepare for school and our community. Nearly three years later, now with two boys at Rosewood Academy, we could not be more thrilled with that decision. The pride the staff takes in the cleanliness and appearance of their "home" is amazing. Each room is bright and cheery with many posters, artwork and learning materials on the wall. Lucas is always thrilled to point out which wall hanging he made! There is always something exciting at Rosewood. Indoor soccer, water play and bike day in the summer, book sharing days and show-and-tell are just some of our son's favorite activities. The indoor playground is perfect for the children to run and play on cold days. We could not be more thankful for the staff and the teachers at Rosewood Academy. The loving atmosphere that is created throughout every day is so heartwarming to see. Our boys love going to their "school", which makes it much easier to leave them each day.
