ProgramsWhat are the educational goals of Rosewood Academy? We aim for optimum development of each child's mind, body, social self, and character. The curriculum at Rosewood Academy helps the child to be a success in life. As the staff works with each individual child, the children are introduced to the love of learning, how to use technology, emotional intelligence and social skills. Our curriculum aids the child to develop the children's language and literacy, engages inquisitive minds in math and science, and develops logical understanding. Our classrooms are age-appropriate and serve children from 6 weeks to 12 years. We believe following the state guidelines for teacher-to-child ratio makes for optimal care and state of the art learning environment. Infant Program: 6 weeks - 18 mos
Our Infant Room Staff knows how precious babies are. The teachers coo, cuddle, rock, sing and bond with your baby. Our Infant Room is specially designed where babies feel safe, secure and happy. Each baby has their own, special crib. We have a no-uncovered-shoe policy in our Infant Classroom to ensure clean playing, eating and sleeping spaces. Through simple games, our loving teacher begins the foundational work for developmental milestones and to help aid in developing the baby's motor skills. You will receive extensive Daily Sheets, informing you of your baby's day with us. As we know, your baby is your most precious gift and our staff will reinforce this as we work together to make a difference each day in the eyes of your family. Toddler Program: 24-36 monthsOur toddler program focuses on a positive environment in which the children learn self-help skills, building language skills through speech and sign language, learning to share, how to follow directions and learning how to play with their friends. The toddlers develop their gross motor skills in their room as well as our fabulous indoor and outdoor playgrounds. Fine motor skills development occurs through puzzles, stacking blocks and cups, etc. Our toddlers love books, music, art, dramatic play and sensory activities provided. Your child will receive daily cubby notes as the most important form of communication and it also allows you the chance to share in your child's busy day. The ratio in this classroom is 1:6. Pre-School Program: 3-4 Years
Pre-K Program: 4-5 YearsGetting ready for kindergarten is exciting and we want your child to stay excited about learning at Rosewood Academy. Our engaging curriculum helps children develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills they'll need to succeed in kindergarten, school and life. Our teachers plan lessons to deepen the children's understanding of basic academic concepts through exploration, investigation and play in our learning centers. We provide an environment where children can challenge themselves and enjoy the thrill of discovery as they look forward to school. Our curriculum enables children in our program to excel in a public or private kindergarten program. The ratio in this classroom is 1:12. Optional Special ClassesRosewood Academy makes it possible for children ages 2 and up, to partake in extra curricular activities during the day, so we will not imposition your nightly schedule. We offer a gymnastics class and a soccer class on site. These two classes are offered through other businesses; therefore you will communicate with these companies outside of Rosewood. We provide the space for them and they bring in the activity. You are welcome to inquire about these classes at the front desk. JenniferChoosing the right daycare for our daughter was the hardest decision my husband and I ever had to make, and I am so grateful that we chose Rosewood Academy. Words cannot express what it means to me not to have to worry about her and wonder if she is being well taken care of during the day. The teachers there are wonderful. They truly care for the children. It has been amazing to see how much our 14 month old daughter has learned through Rosewood Academy. My only complaint is that they have taught her how to be so polite (she signs the word "please" anytime she wants something) that it is difficult to turn her down! I am comforted knowing how much fun she has at daycare, and I am excited for her to be able to participate in all of the fun activities they offer as she gets older. Stacie Z.

The Staff at Rosewood Academy knows the importance of consistent childcare. Our infant room teachers provide a loving, safe and stimulating environment with buckets of hugs and kisses daily. The caregivers spend their day at the baby's level. To interact with them is to know love! The ratio in this classroom is 1 teacher to every 4 babies. This ratio reaffirms our desire to provide to the babies the same environment they would receive at home, but at school. Our infant program includes experience through hands-on learning, communicating verbally as well as through sign language, discovering, art, singing, dancing, etc. We feel the importance to communicate on a daily basis with our families by way of an extensive cubby sheet to share with you.
Our preschool program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. The classrooms are set up with learning centers which encourage development physically, intellectually, socially and emotionally. The learning centers encourage writing, books/library, manipulative, musical/creative movement, dramatic play, puzzles, computers, art, sensory and science/math areas. The children have many opportunities to experience gross motor play in our indoor and outdoor playgrounds. The ratio in this classroom 1:10.
Being a first time mother it was so difficult to go back to work after spending three months at home with my new son. The staff at Rosewood welcomed my nervous visits throughout those first couple of days. I know my son was well taken care of and very much loved. I especially loved the fact that a teacher in the infant room would sing to Sam. I hadn't sang "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" to my son very much. One afternoon when I sang this I noticed his face just lit up. I asked the next day if they had been singing that song to him and of course they had! From the time he was an infant to his now 21 months I am amazed all the things they teach my son and my husband and I love "discovering" his new talents. Rocking Sam to sleep one night I was amazed he could point to his eyes, ears, nose and mouth. It was much more of a discovery for Mom than it was for Sam. I know the teachers, staff and all of the Hansen family give the children they care for all kinds of love and attention throughout the day. I am so impressed with and thankful we found Rosewood Academy.
I am the grandfather of Samuel Likes and have been stopping by the day care for over a year to visit Samuel. Hopefully, I have not been a distraction to any of the employees. I have always been welcomed and am assured I can visit anytime. I find the entire staff of employees very cordial and very professional. It seems that Samuel gets special attention, however, grandparents always feel that way. I know that every child is special to all staff members. Samuel has advanced to his third room and has adjusted quite well. I love to bring him to day care and bring treats for his class. I love to visit him during the day and could not be more pleased with his care. He is with professionals and his parents are also pleased with his total care and well being.
